In September 2021, nearly 4,000 VINCI employees moved into the archipel, the Group's headquarters.
The new campus brings together all the managing departments of its various subsidiaries specializing in construction, energy, and concessions, to encourage the development of synergies and multiple connections within the archipel as well as with the neighborhood's ecosystem.
A unique feature - and added value - of the project lies in its mixed-use approach, as it interweaves a private tertiary-use building with a public transport facility, including the future Nanterre-La Folie station.
This ensemble also demonstrates VINCI Group's strong ambition in urban development, aiming to build the city upon the city. It involves recreating urban intensity on this former railway wasteland to make the best use of land resources and limit urban sprawl.
Finally, the archipel aims to become a showcase of the Group's expertise and innovations, exemplary in terms of work-life quality for its inhabitants and the building's energy performance.
"We were looking for headquarters that unites us and reflects us," Xavier Huillard, Chairman and CEO of VINCI.
The headquarters is part of an ambitious environmental approach and integrates the evolving needs of building usage and occupant mobility. The archipel thus offers its occupants modern and comfortable spaces, conducive to collaborative work.
To arrange the workspaces, the VINCI group established a charter: "90% open spaces and 10% closed spaces".
The archipel has been designed as a real living space for VINCI employees, who can enjoy:
[.r-highlight-box][.r-highlight] Considering the significant number of services offered within the archipel, VINCI was looking for an "all-in-one" and customizable application solution to reflect the ambitions of the site. [.r-highlight][.r-highlight-box]
For a project of this magnitude, the goals were ambitious and varied:
To successfully carry out this project, VINCI chose Witco to accompany the brand in its overall digital transformation phase through the prisms of changing work modes and employee well-being.
With its new headquarters, VINCI has deliberately focused on facilitating exchanges between the Group's employees. This was achieved through the consolidation of services within the archipel on a unique platform called "the archipel+", as well as unified communication.
In practice, this approach significantly simplifies each employee's life. With a single click, they have access to all essential information related to life within the archipel. Furthermore, numerous events and games are regularly proposed via the application to encourage collaboration and brand loyalty.
Additionally, our internal messaging system allows smooth communication, whether to interact with other building occupants or to contact the platform manager to discuss various topics easily.
Finally, the platform offers quick access to all useful contacts, enabling connection with the right person in just a few clicks. This improvement in accessibility and communication fosters a more pleasant and productive work environment for all VINCI employees.
The archipel + application aims to be the sole access point for all stakeholders of the building, whether it's human resources, facility managers, IT teams, or maintenance staff.
Thanks to an integrated ticketing system, occupants can directly submit their requests or report any technical incident, such as a faulty light bulb, a malfunctioning screen, a water leak, etc. These incident reports, together with their geolocation, facilitate their teams' work to solve problems promptly. Moreover, this transparency helps to keep all employees informed about the situation, which contributes to a more efficient and smooth management of the building.
Employees report an average of 100 incidents per month with a 90% resolution rate.
The platform offers a diverse Marketplace that provides all employees with a range of premium services. They have the opportunity to instantly book various services remotely, such as meal baskets, childcare services, or even a car wash service, directly from their application.
Order management is also simplified with this platform by offering the option to pay directly by credit card. This adds a layer of convenience to the user experience, making transactions smooth and practical.
More than 250 services are available on the Marketplace. On average, 30 orders are placed each month.
The archipel+ also offers car-sharing and bike-sharing services, allowing VINCI to promote flexibility while considering current environmental issues. These mobility options encourage our employees to adopt sustainable modes of transport, thus helping to reduce our ecological footprint.
Regarding catering, we have established a partnership with Serenest to integrate a catering service in the application. Employees have access to a wide selection of menus, suitable for all tastes and dietary needs. Additionally, the ability to recharge their restaurant badge via the platform adds an extra level of convenience. An on-site Roomservice is also available, allowing adaptation to each individual's rhythm.
[.r-highlight-box][.r-highlight] This catering service not only promotes conviviality but also strengthens team cohesion. It is interesting to note that 76% of employees dine there at least twice a week thanks to these catering options, which testifies to their appreciation and frequent use of these benefits. VINCI's building data management strategy is based on the use of SpinalCom's BOS. In collaboration with Witco, VINCI aims to establish a unique repository to centralize all information and to elevate the maintenance tickets created in the application to the BOS. This approach allows centralized management, thus offering the opportunity to analyze all building data within a single tool.
In parallel, VINCI implements an ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) system to centralize employees' access to corporate tools, including Witco. This approach allows users to connect easily via a secured protocol, SAML 2.0, in just a few clicks, regardless of their entity within VINCI.
In addition, connecting to all third-party services via SSO (Single Sign-On) enhances the security of employee access to the range of services offered on-site. This approach not only simplifies the user journey but also ensures a higher level of security, thus providing an enhanced and more secure experience for all VINCI employees.
