APICIL, a major player in social protection and wealth management in France, undertook the transformation of its head office as part of a major and innovating project called "Envergure". The To-Lyon tower, located in La Part Dieu business district, in the French city of Lyon, has been refurbished with modern office spaces to create a dynamic working environment where all employees can come together. An ambitious project to make daily life easier for APICIL teams in the workplace, while fostering collaboration and optimizing space management.
To meet this challenge, APICIL chose to deploy a series of digital solutions, integrating meeting room reservations, shared workspace management and enhanced employee services. Our all-in-one Witco app brought all these solutions together in one place.
The To-Lyon tower being a high-rise building, it has strict occupancy rules. Thanks to the presence sensors deployed in its offices, APICIL knows the real-time occupancy of its resources, while taking full advantage of Witco's integration with Z#BRE to :
When it comes to resource availability, employees benefit from instant, reliable information, regardless of the booking tool they choose. Any reservation made by an employee in Witco – via the dedicated module, or via the resource map – is automatically synchronized with O365 Rooms, and vice versa.
Employees need to have a quick meeting, but haven't booked their room in advance? They simply scan the QR Code of a room and reserve it on the fly, without even having to search for it in the app.
APICIL was keen to offer its employees a quality lunch break, and decided to integrate Toqla with Witco. This means that everyone can credit their badge via the app, as well as consult the company restaurant menu and make reservations. This reduces waiting times and speeds up cashier payments, so you don't have to waste time queuing.
The To-Lyon headquarters can accommodate 1,100 employees every day. Yet, APICIL employs over 1,600 people, and relies on hybrid working to rotate its on-site teams. On the one hand, all employees declare their presence at the office via the dedicated module. On the other hand, sections have been defined and allocated to each employee, to encourage team members to work together in a common space.
No risk of coming to the office without knowing where to sit: combining office presence with the tracking of reservations in sections prevents overbooking. This capacity management feature also enables office and facility managers to optimize every square meter, without running out of space.
Adopting these solutions changed the way APICIL employees interact with their workplace. Room and desk reservations have become much smoother, encouraging better use of available resources. Using a single app to reserve one's desk and meals has considerably improved the employee experience, reflecting APICIL's commitment to the well-being of its teams.
Last but not least, we would like to extend our special thanks to Rachel Lecendrier, who designed these amazing spaces, to Jean-Sébastien Fraisse and Guy-Bernard Laffont, who managed this program on the APICIL side, and to the space planning agency MAJORELLE SAS as well. They made this project not only possible, but more importantly smooth and super successful!
